Nashville is our town, and we’re proud to be a part of it, investing in the wonderful community that supports us and working with the people who make Music City such an amazing place. You’ll find us in every neighborhood and at all major events. If you’re also from here, we should know each other. And if you need a trusted guide, we’re more than happy to show you around.
We work hard to educate families, students, teachers and school administrators about the consequences of underage alcohol consumption. In the Spring of 2013, we teamed up with the athletic department at Middle Tennessee State University as well as the upper school students at Harpeth Hall School to host educational speaker Carolyn Cornelison. Carolyn shared details of her own personal struggles with alcohol that began as a young college student. She discussed the consequences of her own irresponsible choices, as well as emphasized the power of positive peer influence. Her message was positive and passionate, and her terrific sense of humor kept the students engaged throughout the entire presentation. Hearing first-hand stories about the consequences and dangers of alcohol abuse can have a profound effect on students as they are confronted with making the right choices.
We work closely with our own customers to help prevent underage drinking in the community. We distribute Driver’s License Guides to over 500 area establishments and local law enforcement. These guides help retailers identify proper identification and ensure that only those of legal drinking age purchase alcohol. We also provide our retailers with “WE I.D.” materials to help them send the message to their customers that they will always check I.D.’s and that alcohol will only be sold to people who provide valid proof that they are of legal drinking age.
Join us in our efforts to encourage the responsible consumption of alcohol. Please take the pledge to always drink responsibly. Share it with your friends and family and encourage them to take the pledge with you!
AAA and Bud Light provide the Tow to Go service to discourage an intoxicated driver from getting behind the wheel and risking the lives and safety of other motorists. Not only does Tow to Go remove the intoxicated driver—it also enables AAA and Bud Light to remind the public to always choose a designated driver for a safe ride home. The goal of Family Talk is to discourage underage drinking by providing parents the tools to talk with their kids about how to make smart choices when faced with the pressure to drink alcohol. Visit the Family Talk Facebook page to learn more.
